Credit Authorization
Authorization to Obtain and Use Credit-Related Information
Effective Date: May 28, 2026
Last Updated: May 28, 2026
This Credit Authorization explains the scope of the permission you provide in connection with Fortress and the related request-routing and informational services operated by Fortress Loan and Finance LLC ("Fortress," "we," "our," or "us"). This disclosure is intended to explain, in full and not in summary form, how credit-related information may be requested, received, reviewed, transmitted, and used when you submit information through our platform or continue into a participating third-party lender or lending network flow.
1. Purpose of this Authorization
By using the Services and by affirmatively submitting information through our application flow, you authorize Fortress and, where applicable, participating third-party lenders, lending networks, lead buyers, service providers, consumer reporting agencies, data verification vendors, fraud-prevention vendors, and other lawful recipients involved in evaluating, routing, verifying, or supporting your request to obtain, review, use, re-use where legally permitted, and transmit information related to your creditworthiness, identity, application profile, and financial eligibility. This authorization is provided so that your request may be evaluated for product matching, preliminary qualification, anti-fraud review, identity verification, compliance review, or lender-side underwriting and funding decisions.
2. Fortress Is Not the Lender
Fortress Loan and Finance LLC is not a lender, does not issue consumer loans, and does not make final underwriting decisions. Fortress does not independently determine whether you are approved for credit, what APR you qualify for, what term length applies to you, or whether you ultimately receive funding. Fortress may, however, collect and transmit information necessary to facilitate your request and may work with participating third parties who obtain consumer reports, alternative data, identity verification records, or related risk signals in support of their own evaluation process.
3. Categories of Information Covered by this Authorization
Subject to applicable law, your authorization may cover one or more of the following categories of information:
- Traditional credit bureau information, including consumer reports, score-related signals, and credit history attributes.
- Identity verification data, including address confirmation, phone ownership data, and fraud-screening indicators.
- Application information provided by you, including income, employment, requested amount, and repayment preferences.
- Device, session, and anti-fraud information collected automatically through website or application interactions.
- Publicly available and lawfully licensed records used to verify identity, detect fraud, or support lender review.
- Behavioral and transactional indicators, where lawfully used by participating providers to assess application integrity or risk.
4. Soft Inquiry, Hard Inquiry, and Credit Impact
Fortress itself does not promise that a request will be treated as a soft inquiry or that it will have no impact on your credit profile. Some providers may use soft-pull methods for preliminary review, comparison, or marketing qualification, while a full application with a specific lender may involve a hard inquiry that can be reflected on your credit report. Whether a credit inquiry is soft or hard is determined by the participating provider, the stage of the application, the nature of the product, and applicable law. You should review lender-specific disclosures before completing any lender-side application or consent step.
5. Authorization to Share Information With Participating Third Parties
You authorize Fortress to disclose the information you provide, together with related verification or routing data, to independent third-party lenders, lending networks, consumer reporting agencies, anti-fraud vendors, lead management vendors, analytics providers, and operational service providers involved in processing your request. Such sharing may be necessary to match your request with available third-party products, verify your identity, comply with legal requirements, prevent fraud, or support a lender's underwriting and servicing process.
6. Re-Use and Ongoing Evaluation by Participating Providers
Where permitted by law and the provider's own disclosures, the information related to your request may be re-used by a participating lender or network to evaluate eligibility for the same or a similar product type, to perform fraud or compliance review, to satisfy lawful recordkeeping obligations, or to communicate product-related information that you have consented to receive. Fortress does not control how third-party lenders define retention periods, underwriting criteria, or permissible use after transfer, and you are responsible for reviewing their legal notices.
7. Identity Verification and Fraud Prevention Authorization
You authorize Fortress and participating providers to verify the information you submit using databases, consumer reports where lawfully used, public records, IP-based fraud signals, phone and email verification tools, device intelligence, and similar commercially reasonable fraud-prevention systems. These checks may be performed to reduce unauthorized use of personal information, detect false or manipulated applications, and comply with applicable legal obligations relating to fraud detection, anti-money laundering controls, and business integrity.
8. No Guarantee of Offer, Approval, or Specific Terms
Providing this authorization does not guarantee that you will receive a loan offer, that you will qualify for any product, that you will be shown a particular APR, or that any lender will fund a loan. Approval decisions, amount ranges, fees, rates, and repayment obligations remain solely within the discretion of the participating third-party lender and are subject to underwriting review, verification, and applicable law.
9. Record Retention and Compliance Use
Fortress may retain records of this authorization, together with associated request metadata and application-routing records, for compliance, audit, dispute resolution, fraud review, operational support, and legal defense purposes. Participating third parties may retain separate records of authorization under their own document retention schedules and legal obligations.
10. Revocation and Limits of Revocation
You may request that Fortress cease future processing of new request activity by discontinuing use of the Services or by contacting us regarding certain data rights or marketing preferences; however, revocation of this authorization cannot retroactively reverse lawful disclosures, completed review activity, compliance-based retention, fraud prevention analysis, or consumer report requests that were already initiated before revocation. In addition, Fortress cannot revoke or control separate authorizations granted directly to a participating lender, network, or service provider.
11. Authorization by Electronic Action
By clicking buttons such as "Continue," "Apply," "Submit," or similar affirmative controls, by completing and sending the application request, or by otherwise taking electronic action indicating intent to proceed, you acknowledge and agree that such action constitutes your electronic signature and your authorization for the credit-related inquiries, reviews, transmissions, and verification processes described in this disclosure, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Consumer Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and lawfully submitted. Submitting inaccurate or misleading information may result in denial, restriction of service, additional verification review, or referral to fraud-monitoring processes. You should also retain copies of any lender-specific authorization, adverse action notice, privacy policy, or credit disclosure provided after you continue into a third-party application flow.
13. Additional Provider Disclosures
Participating third-party lenders and networks may provide additional or more specific authorizations, Fair Credit Reporting Act notices, adverse action notices, privacy notices, and state-specific disclosures. Where those provider-specific documents apply, they supplement this page rather than replace it. You should read all such disclosures carefully before proceeding.
